Without Regrets was started in June 2011. Prior to this the founders knew three young parents that passed away in less than one year and left behind young children. Without Regrets was founded to provide a service to families like these during a very difficult time. Special memories a child has of a lost parent can last a lifetime. Our mission helps both the parents and the children, this is what makes Without Regrets unique.

"Some may give you a piece of their mind! I wish for you peace of mind!
Some may break your heart! I wish we all share a piece of our heart everyday!
Some may stab you in the back! I want to stand behind you to catch your back if you fall!"
I grew up in a family of 7 children, a strong Catholic family involved in our church. As a young boy I was an altar boy. As an adult I continued my family's involvement in the church by teachingSunday school, mentoring engaged couples, being a member of the pastoral council, Knights of Columbus, and various other roles. I extended my community involvement outside the church as a leader in the Boy Scouts and coaching little league teams. And of course now I am a member of the Board for Without Regrets!
I attended high school in New Orleans and then onto LSU where I graduated with a Bachelors in Business Management. Immediately following graduation, I went to work for Shell Oil Company as an Accountant and continued my career with them covering 16 different jobs over 31 years. During this time I also found an opportunity to run my own company - a Gymnastics Studio, which I owned with a partner for 5 years.
I have been happily married for 33 years to my high school sweetheart and we have two grown children that are both married and out building their lives and careers. We have one grandchild whom we love to spoil.
My hobbies include Ballroom Dancing, wood working, photography, wine making and golf.
Tara Ballard - Co-Founder of Without Regrets
I was a government major at the University of Texas at Austin. After college I worked for a political party and in grassroots lobbying before deciding to move to the non-profit sector. It is an amazing feeling when you make a difference in the lives of others. I have worked in fundraising for The Leukemia Society, Local Independent Charities, Independent Charities of America and The Children's Charitable Alliance. I was previously a gubernatorial appointee to the SECC State Advisory Committee. I left this all behind to be a mom. I have two elementary aged children. They are my greatest achievement but I followed my heart in forming Without Regrets knowing that I am teaching them valuable lessons about doing things for others. I am also an active volunteer at my children's school.
Jeff graduated from Fairfield University with a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. He holds his CPA license in NY, CA, CT and TX. Until he recently opened his private practice here in Austin he was running an adolescent eating disorder clinic in Beverly Hills.
Spending a lifetime both behind and in front of the camera has also allowed Jeff to quietly run his own independent movie and entertainment production company (prodromal productions) for the last ten years.
But his greatest accomplishments are and will always be his marriage to his wife Miranda and the blessing of parenthood to their two wonderful children, Luciana & Kaspian.
Jeff is both honored and humbled by the opportunity to be able to participate within such an amazing organization and with the truly inspiring people involved with it.

My husband, Scott, was diagnosed with cancer in October of 2010, and lost his battle to cancer in April of 2011. To know Scott was to know he loved the NY Yankees. One of Scott's bucket list items was to take our son, Aidan, to Yankee Stadium. While we were not able to make his dream come true, we strongly hope other families will greatly benefit from the Without Regrets Foundation. Sometimes time is all we have and when life presents us with these situations it is vitally important to make the time you have the most loving and memorable it can be, Without Regrets can help you create and enjoy the precious time you have left with your loved one.
May God bless you with strength, the clarity to feel happy when surrounded with sadness, and abounding and bountiful love.Nichole Sala-Grossman
